    Are you of the conviction that a police deptarment should only recruit officers with no military background?,

    Of course not. Not only are veterans citizens like anyone else but they bring dedication and purpose to any job they take. After all, they have seen the price we pay for our freedoms.

    Further, military training, especially military police training, is valuable background to have for dealing with almost anything a civilian police officers might face.
