Standard EQ is based on the instrumentation used in a song regarding the frequencies of those sounds. Technically there is no standard EQ of a mix unless you mean leaving room for the Mastering process of a song. Usually that is about 3 - 4 dB for headroom for Mastering the song before it's processed to zero (0 dB). Anything more is going to cause clipping (Distortion) and the overall mix and/or master when processing in post production.View all replies to this question
