    If we agree that evidence is what matters in the real world. Are there other factors influencing marketing strategies due to the internet of things?.

    It all depends on the definition of "evidence" if we can agree on the first part of this question.
    There is extensive research showing that humans are irrational (Kahneman for instance).
    On the second part, the connected society already has and will in the future have many implications, not the least on privacy and trust.
    When we are made aware that everything is logged - and if this information will be used in a way impacting us negatively in any way - we will alter our behaviors. So in the long run, this will have an impact on our sense of freedom.
