Is it futile to ask one's Doctor to recommend fewer antibiotics?.

Nasser Madi replied 31st Aug '19:

It is extremely impportant to reduce antibiotic consumption. In my practice it is often patients, because of a widespread beleaf that antibiotics speed up the recovery from upper respiratory tract infections, who request antibiotic prescription. More information campaigns should be implemented in order to change this way of thinking.
