In what way may an artist draw meaning from art?.

This is an inane question, implying that there is a possibility that an artist can work on their art devoid of a search for meaning. If they cannot draw meaning from their art, they are by definition not an artist. If they do draw meaning from what they do, then the question is irrelevant. The fact that the singular "way" is used, rather than a plural, implies a hierarchical idea that there is one predominant, overriding meaning to be gleaned from artmaking, as if artists strive towards a Platonic idea. This is ludicrous. Please reframe your question.
